Class Hatchback

The crossover is essentially the next version of the Polo hatchback containing more design elements which adds more muscular look to the exterior profile. It is available in both petrol and diesel variants, it gets the same machine that powers the Polo hatchback. Based on its predecesor, the crossover is identical to its sibling giving the additional elements on the exterior like black body cladding and roof rails lending the crossover to the much needed beefy look. The two models aren't too far, even on the inside with same look, atire and layout. Sharing the same machine, it gets 1.2 litre MPI petrol and 1.5 litre TDI engines with five - speed manual transmission.

Enigine and Transmission

The 1.2 litre 3 cylinder 1198cc petrol engine churns out 74 bhp at 5400 rpms and 110Nm of torque at 3750 rpms. In the same side 1.5 litre 4 cylinder 1498cc diesel engine makes upto 89 bhp at 4200 rpms and 230Nm of torque between 1500 to 2500 rpms. Now here is the main part, and it is that both the engines makes the power output via five - speed manual transmission. The surprising fact about this crossover is that the petrol variant is able to provide 16.5Km/l and the diesel variant is able to give 20.15Km/l of mileage which is rated by ARAI(Automotive Research Association of India).

The crossover hatchback isn't lacking in the technology in its segment. It comes with advanced touch screen, CD/MP3 player, USB port, AUX-In and SD card input. It is integrated with 4 speakers inside, Bluetooth connectivity for mobile phones and also the voice command is offered in the crossover.

Both the variants now comes with 185/60 tyres with 15 inches alloy wheels. Safety features are like ABS, dual front airbags, electronic engine immobilizer, fog lamps in front and rear as well as rear defogger, rear parking sensors and anti - pinch power windows. But many car users and reviewers are disappointed that it still doesn't gets the traction control and EBD(Electronic Brake Distrbution). It only gets disc breaks at front not at back, though the retarding force is superb.

The crossover comfort goddies is loaded with cruise controls, automatic climate control(Climatronic), height adjuster for driver's seat, speed - sensative power steering, power operated ORVMs with foldable function. But it also lack some of the feature which is convenient in this level of hatchback, and they are like lumber support, armrests for both front and rear passengers, power steering is only for the reck not for the reach. But neverthless, lacking some of the feature doesn't mean that the driving this crossover will disappoint anyone. Driver will get automatic smile on their face by seeing its superior drive quality.
